Alejandro R. Lopez was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, and father-to-be unexpectedly passed away on August 21st, 2023. Alex was born on May 11, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Maria J. Lopez.

Alex was full of energy and life; he touched so many people’s life with his presence. Alex was really good at telling jokes and making people laugh, he always greeted you with a smile and a hug. He loved camping, art, fishing with his grandfather and playing basketball.

Alex overcame many obstacles and was entering into a new chapter of his life, preparing for his unborn son with his fiancé Jennalee Valdez. He was a proud stepfather and cherished his step-daughter Neveah. Throughout Alex’s life his family rallied behind him. He had a special bond with his grandmother Augusta Rose and grandfather Tony Stephenson.

Alex is survived by his grandmother Augusta Rose (Tony), grandfather Michael Rose, mother Maria Lopez, brother Angel Lopez (Michaela) and niece Skye Carlston, and uncle’s Rosendo Garcia (Lisa), Aaron Rose, Ryan Rose, and many loving cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on August 31, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Cottonwood Ward at 5605 South Vine Street, Murray, UT 84107. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 310 North Center Street following the funeral services. Food and drink to be served at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Cottonwood Ward.
