Alberta L. Pace, age 92, passed away last Sunday morning January 28, 2024, at Sterling Court in St. George, Utah. She was born December 4, 1931, in Caldwell, Idaho to Veryl Edward Dewey and Helen May Woodruff.

She was proceeded in death by her first husband Lorin D. Lee and later, husband Neil E. Pace, also her son Benjamin Edward Lee (wife Elizabeth) and David Aaron Lee. She is survived by Robyn New (husband Roger), Michael Lee (wife Elizabeth), Daniel Lee (wife Leslie), and Kevin Lee (wife Sheryl).

She attended Boise State College, was an accomplished pianist and runner up to the Miss Boise competition of 1949 when she met her first husband to be on a $5 bet that he couldn't get a date with her. They were engaged 7 days and 11 hours later. She loved to swim, to sail, and to ride in fast cars. According to her children she “could not be scared.” She was a school bus driver for many years, also loved music, attending plays, and served over twenty years as a ward missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But most of all, she loved tending her orchards filled with peaches and especially her cherries which are loved throughout Southern Utah.

There will be a viewing Friday, February 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and an additional viewing Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm with the funeral services starting at 3:00 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. Graveside services will follow at the Leeds Town cemetery.
