Afton Louise ZoBell, born January 22, 1933, age 77, passed away peacefully into eternity on September 11, 2010. Her children and grandchildren will tenderly remember her as a patient, loving mother and grandmother.

She was born in Goshen, Utah at her Grandmother's house. She attended school in Provo, Utah and graduated from Provo High School in 1951. She attended BYU after which she worked as a secretary at Geneva Steele. On May 29, 1953 she married her sweetheart, Keith ZoBell, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 58 years. They spent many years living in various locations in the Northwest, after which in 1972 they settled in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Afton loved to sing, and had a beautiful contralto voice. She sang in church choirs, and performed many solos on different occasions. She had hundreds of songs memorized and would sing these while working in the garden and rocking grandchildren. She passed the love of music onto her children, and grandchildren.

One of the highlights of her life was serving Afton loved to sing, and had a beautiful contralto voice. the Lord. She held many church callings throughout her life. In 1998 She and Keith served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sharon, Vermont. Afton worked at the Joseph Smith Memorial tending to gardens, and clerical work.

She will be missed by her husband, Keith ZoBell, 15 grandchildren, her children Paula Hatch, Eric ZoBell, Wade ZoBell, Mary Johnson, Karen Taylor , and her brothers Ray Barney Bob Barney and Mike Jensen. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Jensen, Louise Ballard Barney, and her brother Melvin Barney.
