Afton Ileen Andrews returned to her heavenly father peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 91 on April 8, 2023, in South Jordan, Utah. Born in Lorenzo, Idaho on October 30, 1931, to Labe and Irene Hunting Bullock.

She was married to George L Haywood in Idaho and later divorced. She would later marry Willard Andrews in 1962 and later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple April 19, 1997, he passed away January 3, 2013.

Preceded in death by her parents, Labe and Irene Bullock, Daughter in law Erla Haywood, and grandson Kyle Haywood.

She is survived by her 5 children, Darrell (Norma) Haywood, Gwenna (Roger) Marquis, Gary (Terry) Haywood, Lynn Haywood, and Tami (Garth) Smedley, 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Afton enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Afton was, for many, a gourmet chef and enjoyed cooking, baking, and teaching this to anyone that asked. She enjoyed spending time with family and always had an open door. She worked at Rigby Maternity Hospital, Albertsons, Sperry Utah and Utah Drivers License Division.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 with a viewing held two hours prior from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow next to her sweetheart, Willard.
