Ada Louise Almond Rose Seamons passed away peacefully with family present on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Spring Garden Senior Living Center in Saint George, Utah.

Louise was born Tuesday, July 16, 1940 in Downey, Idaho, the 7th of 10 children to Burt and Lottie (Norby) Almond. She graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1958.

On High School graduation night, Garry Rose proposed to Louise and they married shortly after on June 27, 1958 in Downey, Idaho. They had 5 sons: Kevin Garry (Karina), Brad Lehi (deceased), Michael Gean (Shelley), Eric Lamar (Jennifer) (deceased), and Richard Lynn (deceased)

Louise and Garry divorced in July 1968.

She returned to school and earned an Associate Science Degree. She was offered and then accepted an Executive Admin position at Utah State University with Dr. Garth Lee in the Chemistry department. She worked there and retired after 35 years.

Louise married Clynn Seamons July 9, 1971 in Hyde Park, Utah.

Her and Clynn got busy working hard and sacrificing to raise Clynn’s 3 older daughters and Louise’s 4 younger boys.

She and Clynn enjoyed helping and socializing with family and friends, and were well known in Cache Valley.

Louise was a skilled musician and gladly shared her piano, organ and accordion talents with family, friends, church groups and local community events.

She was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including ward organist, primary pianist, youth leader, and relief society instructor.

Her biggest achievement and joy in life was the positive life-changing difference she made in getting public schooling and work training for Brad and other mentally disabled children in Cache Valley.

When President Kennedy signed The Disabled Person’s Assistance legislation in October 1963 to build local community-based health centers, sheltered workshops, and education facilities for mentally disabled people, Louise got involved with the local community - parents, leaders, schools, workshops, and facilities being built,

Over the years, her work to help Brad has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of mentally disabled children born and raised in Cache Valley.

Brad received an education, worked at the sheltered workshop, and at the University. As one of the longest-lived Downs Syndrome men in the country, Brad was able to live his best life.

Louise’s deceased siblings are Allan LaMar (Angelyn), Gordon Dean (Emma Lou), Baby James, Grant M, Lyle Norby (Karen) and Larry Moroni (Kathy), and a stillborn sister.

Louise is survived by 2 sisters, Marge (Jack) Small, Ann (Blair-deceased) Crapo; 2 sons Kevin Rose and Michael (Shelley) Rose; and 7 granddaughters: Kyli (Nate) Searle, Jessica (Landon) Porter, Alexis (Dan) Talbert, Victoria (Jake) Lanier, Cheyenne, Amanda (Race) Johnson, and Ashley (Dustin) Nielsen.

Louise is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, including Hayden and Cora Searle; Payton, Jack, Cohen and Calder Porter; Asher, Emma and Evalyn Lanier; Adri Rose and Kian Johnson; and Hunter, Riker, and Sage Nielsen.

A viewing for friends and family will be held at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff St, Saint George, UT 84770 on Friday, October 16 from 6-8 pm.

A second viewing will be held at Spilsbury Mortuary prior to funeral services on Saturday, October 17 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 17 at Spilsbury Mortuary, at 11:00 am.

Louise’s remains will be cremated after the Funeral Service and later interred in the Hyde Park City Cemetery on Memorial Day, May 31, 2027 at 10:00 am. All family and friends are invited.

The family will also inter ashes in the Downey Cemetery on Memorial Day at 12:00 noon next to her parents. And also in the Logan Cemetery next to her grandparents.

The family expresses gratitude to Spilsbury Mortuary, Spring Gardens, Summit Health Care, and especially her caretakers Dr Janie, Alli, Kami, and Shondel for their compassionate end-of-life care and love for Louise.
