Shawnee Brown, age 77, passed away on September 25, 2020 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on April 21, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vince Nelson and Ruth Thomas Nelson. She married Michael L. Brown on June 21, 1963.

She enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling. She loved watching NASCAR racing and demolition derbies. She retired from ARUP.

Shawnee was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and was special to all her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Michael, daughter, Cindy Brown (Shane) Burnett, grandchildren; Cameron Decker and Cayden Burnett, sister, Janeé Hammerland and family, sister-in-law, Patricia (Richard) Gray and family, brother-in-law, Robert (Robyn) Brown and family, daughter, Kristie Brown McNulty, grandsons; Conner and Thomas McNulty and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Janice, and brother, Lance.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Huntsman Cancer Institute in Shawnee’s name.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held in her honor.

In accordance with the Salt Lake County directive, facial masks are required at all viewing and funeral services and social distancing will be observed.
