Hallelujah I've finally made it home!

It was a hard trip, but oh my, so worth it!

I had a wonderful Mom and Dad, Margery Selma Thomsen and Edmund Butterworth Sperry, 4 handsome and dear brothers, Ted, Don, Hal, and Glen, and two beautiful and talented sisters, Darlene and Barbara.

Earth life has given me a dear husband, James Richard Andersen/deceased. We were married on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. We have 7 amazing youngsters; Jill (Dave Van Langeveld), Robyn/deceased (Earle Morris/deceased), Laurie/ deceased (Lloyd Perry), Brian (Kathy Oliekan), Marti (Dennis Tueller), Coralee (Kerry Van Wagoner), and Jay/deceased.

I have 22 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.

I've loved my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where I have received some sweet growing experiences; Primary teacher and primary chorister , Relief Society president twice, and a teacher in that organization as well. I was a Temple Worker in the Jordan River temple; my temple recommend was a very precious, earned gift! Dick and I served a mission to the West Indies., and also as missionaries on Temple Square. I love working for the Lord!

I was head secretary at Bella Vista Elementary school. I loved the children, teachers, and the principal. All were Gems!

Thank you to the staff/family at Beehive Homes of Draper and Elevation Hospice. Your love and care have been invaluable, worth your weight in gold!

I am a little bit late posting this. I regret missing the chance to visit with Sister Andersen before she "made it!" She taught me in Primary, and was the Sunday School Chorister (back when the congregation would actually practice singing hymns together before breaking for classes). She had a big impact on my life, and she is always the first person that comes to my mind whenever anyone asks who my favorite teacher was. I also got to play a role (with my family) in one of the many Church filmstrips her husband Jay produced in the late 60's \ early 70's - "Break Every Yoke". I actually have the filmstrip and vinyl record and the script that I found when my mother Mardene passed away earlier this year. I would love to give it to one of her children, if they ever see this and will text me at 8014971022. I loved your mom!

We love you, Marge, and are sure our love reaches you faster now. We also believe there was little change from your mortal to immortal state since you were already an angel when we knew you. We do miss you, though. Congratulations on completing your journey home!!

I haven't seen or really thought of Mrs. Andersen since I was a kid. I attended Bella Vista Elementary from kindergarten through sixth grade, starting back in 1973. The minute I saw her smiling face in this photo, I instantly remembered her. She was so kind and always happy. It sounds like she had an amazing life. Good for her! Rest in peace, dear lady.

Marge was the definition of angel on earth. She always had the brightest happiest smile on her face, and her beautiful silver hair was always perfect. She sat on the front row in Sacrament Meeting and nodded and smiled when anybody was giving a talk. She was the most cheerful, kind, giving person! I loved her so much.

I love you Marge! Thank you so much for all you taught me! Thank you for demonstrating the pure love of Jesus Christ towards me. Every time I was around you, you made me feel like the most important person in the world. You were always so happy, upbeat, energetic and positive regardless of all that you were going through in your life. Words cannot describe your spirit and energy! Your relationship with Jesus, and your testimony of His Atonement was bright and tangible for all to feel. I felt it! Thank you for being one of the very best examples in my life of our Savior Jesus Christ. I sure do miss those times, 20-25 years ago, sitting in your kitchen enjoying a root beer or an ice cream that you would so lovingly provide; the best part of those visits was feeling the love behind it, talking with you and feeling your spirit. Sadly, I didn’t realize at the time how precious those moments were! I remember the scouting events at your house. I remember seeing you at church every week with a smile on your face, and love and joy to impart to others. I remember your loving face and expressions. You made the world better around you! You are one of those individuals who, even if someone meets just a time or two, you impact their lives forever. I was lucky enough to get to meet you more than a time or two, and you truly impacted my life forever. I sure do miss you. Thank you! Till we meet again!

Growing up the Andersen home was like a second home for me. I think it was the first place my parents would call when they didn’t know where I was. I remember the feeling of love that was always present in their home. Brother and Sister Andersen were always great examples of the Gospel.

Love this lady with her beautiful smile and spiritual light always shining. Marge always had a kind word and a hug for everyone with whom she came into contact. Her Christ-like service was a wonderful example to all. She will be as busy in Heaven spreading cheer and love as she was on Earth.

I lived just in front of the Anderson home in a duplex in my early married years. Marge and Jay were the most wonderful neighbors. They were so attentive to my needs. I loved them dearly.

I was in the same ward with Marge when I was a teenager from 1983 until 1992. Her example made a big impact on me in how important the little things we do to encourage others matters. I dont think Marge would even know who I am - but what made such an impression was the way she sat right in front of the pulpit during sacrament meeting. She would pay absolute attention and nod her head- smiling through every talk. As an awkward teenager this was so comforting to me. She encouraged everyone! I have tried to be that person for others and have mentioned her example more the once in a talk or lesson. What a magnificent example of the power of small and simple things we do and how powerful they are. I'm glad she lived such a long life to share a light so needed on this earth!

I loved Marg. I remember her from Bella Vista. My Mom (Sandra) loved working with Marg. She was an Angel on Earth and spread love to So Many Children. She is probably the only Adult I remember from going to that school.

Thank you for your Kind Heart. A prime example of an Angel on Earth.

Marge looked the same til the end and had the same genuine personality always. Her smile and love for others was always evident. Her Christ-like temperament and faith never waivered. What a great woman that will be so truly missed and will surly leave a hole in the hearts of so many whom she influenced the lives of! I’ll always remember “Grandma Marge” as she was known to all of us kids in the neighborhood.

Mitch Anderson , Lehi, UT, US Sep 30, 2020

Marge and J. Richard Anderson, two of the most Christ like people I’ve ever known! Suffice to say they saved my life and they saved my family in our hour of greatest need. I will eternally remember them with reverence. Happy reunion!

David Allred , Salt Lake City, UT, US Sep 30, 2020

Marge was the sweetest woman! She helped our children and us navigate elementary school for the first time!! Always had bandaids and hugs ready to give out as needed!! Marge had a constant smile and halo above her that made everything feel a little sweeter. We love you and are so glad for the wonderful reunion that you are experiencing ❤️
