About Us

The Alvie Peterson family started the funeral home in 1890 in Salina. In 1943, Joe D. Springer bought into the Peterson's Funeral Home and opened an additional mortuary in Richfield. In 1959, Springer's son, Joe H. Springer, joined the mortuary and moved in the Salina facility. In 1980, Bruce W. Turner bought into the Springer Mortuaries and moved into the Richfield location while Joe H. Springer continued living in Salina. While the Springer Turner Funeral Homes have a rich history, they also have a dedication of continual improvements of their facilities and services while providing competitive pricing.
