About Us

The Rost Funeral Home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business and it as continued to grow along with the Mountain Home community. Jerry’s career in funeral service began more than fifty years ago in Boise, ID and he is very proud of the fact that he has spent his entire career serving families in the Treasure Valley. Along the way, Jerry and Janette acquired an 1897 horse drawn funeral carriage, which is on display in the funeral home along with a large mural depicting how the carriage was used in the 19th and early 20th century. As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home have worked hard to be active members of the community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises.
