Barbara Ann Grover (Selander)

Our Mother, Barbara Ann Grover (Selander), age 85, passed away in the grace of peace, on March 2nd, 2024, in Wellington, Utah. Born on April 25, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she lived a life marked by love and was the most loving and generous person that we ever knew. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she touched the lives of many people with her warmth and compassion.

She leaves behind a legacy of life and love in her children Dean (Yvonne), Paul, Lynn (Paula), Shauna (Mark), Jodie (Rick), and so many others whom she considered her children. As the matriarch of a large family, her guidance was the compass for her 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, providing a source of endless comfort and joy. Her sister Diana remains, to honor, Barbara's memory and the shared bond of sisterhood.

Barbara has been reunited with those who journeyed ahead: her parents Ken and Grace (McIntyre) Selander, her brothers David and Ken, her sister Maureen, her deeply missed husband Lynn, and the two grandchildren who left too soon.

Barbara held many jobs in her lifetime, some of which were a florist, a department store clothing buyer, a park manager, a bartender, and a bouncer but her true passion was teaching. She taught in Hagerman, Idaho for 9 years and Wendell, Idaho for over 15 years. She was passionate about her work as a teacher, and she dedicated her life to helping others. She was respected and admired by her colleagues and the children she taught. She was always eager to learn new things and improve her skills. She never stopped growing as a person, a teacher, and a giver.

She was also a wonderful mother, wife, sister, and truly a special friend to all she encountered. She loved everyone unconditionally and supported all of us in everything that we did. She was our biggest cheerleader and our best confidant. She taught us how to be strong, brave, and honest, and how to appreciate the beauty

and joy of life. She was always there for us, no matter what.

She was an What you think about, you bring about. amazing woman, and we are so proud and grateful to have had her in our lives. She will never be forgotten. She will always live in our hearts and memories, and we will honor her legacy by following her example and spreading her love. In her passing, Barbara leaves behind the rich legacy of her love and the cherished memories woven into the fabric of her family's history. She will be deeply missed and eternally revered, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul that enriched all whom it touched.

We miss her terribly, but we know she is in a better place, watching over us and smiling. She is truly an Angel now, as she was always in life. We love you, Mommie. We end with a quote mom always said and believed: “What you think about, you bring about.” We Love You Deeply, Mom.
